In fact, UltraBlast is the strongest coating in the paints and coatings industry, possessing physical properties that exceed competing polyurea formulations by as much as a factor of 3. Like many other ArmorLine products, UltraBlast is a two-component, 1:1, fast set, and spray-applied polyurea made of 100% solids and containing no volatile organic chemicals (VOCs). However, unlike many of its sister coatings in the ArmorLine series, UltraBlast is a hybrid polyurea formulation, forming a smooth but hard, slick yet tough barrier with broad-scope resilience and significant flexibility.

UltraBlast is highly abrasion-resistant and chemically tolerant, compatible with various substrates, most commonly including primed steel or concrete, but it also bonds strongly to more advanced surface materials like geotextile fabrics. With proper preparation and high-quality application, UltraBlast imparts an unmatched combination of corrosion protection and blast resistance, creating a thick-film plastic encasement that comprehensively protects underlying surfaces. Its all-purpose toughness makes it the perfect protective technology for a variety of uses that extend well beyond blast mitigation alone, with some typical examples including fuel tanks, wastewater treatment plants, secondary containment systems, and ocean pilings.
